Observed parallel · not an offer
Lineage that can be shown.
Another project uses the words Sovereign Provenance. It is sovereignprovenance.com, a Modern Ancients technology platform. It builds proof of origin for the age of intelligent creation: decision ledgers, origin seals, dataset passports, guardian runtime, and a Mirror console for institutions, labs, newsrooms, and civic operators.
Their protocol sits as a semantic layer above existing standards (DID/VC, C2PA, W3C PROV, and others). It records relationships between states: origin, inheritance, contribution, transformation, transmission, derivation, consequence, and stewardship. Contribution remains visible without requiring creation to become exclusive possession. They are network-, storage-, and ledger-agnostic. They own the lineage, not the underlying rails.
The parallel
Both keep a book so that origin and contribution do not disappear.
- lgme and this book inscribe informal civic work so the sweat equity is not lost to high administrative cost.
- Sovereign Provenance records the lineage of institutional decisions, models, datasets, and artifacts so the story of becoming is not scattered across tools.
- Both treat provenance as continuity through change rather than mere sequence or ownership.
- Both prefer verification that can be shown over pure trust.
The third seat refuses any line that skipped the order or cannot be shown. Sovereign Provenance’s passports and seals make the same demand of institutional work: the biography of an artifact must travel with it. Same constraint, different seats.
What is not claimed
- No shared ownership, no joint venture, no token, no membership offer.
- No claim that one system is the other, or that one should replace the other.
- No private window. Any future interoperability, if it is ever considered, must be published and readable before it writes.
- The Hederica charter remains the live mission on lgme.app. The Sovereign Provenance Protocol materials remain archived design research.
Possible future reading
An inscribed civic deed could, in principle, carry or resolve to a lineage passport that describes origin, contribution, and stewardship in the terms Sovereign Provenance already uses. An institutional decision ledger could, in principle, reference a public civic-work tape when the work later feeds a model, a dataset, or a program. Neither step is taken here. Both would require visible rules, named residual, and floor seniority before any residual is titled.
The opportunity is only that the constraint is shared: if contribution cannot be shown, it is not on the book. The third seat keeps the refusal. The tape keeps the light.
