Against fiat
Same rules. Not the same mint.
Fiat already has a floor, a mint, credit, records, and agents. The difference is the bundle. Here the floor is senior, the mint is public, private paper does not clear at par, and an unpublished act is not policy.
The working form stays the same. Reserve the floor, write the tape, then issue. This page is only the contrast.

Floor
A senior claim on surplus already named. Paid before the risk charge and before Desert.
Fiat
A benefit after a caseworker and a fiscal fight. It can be paused to service old debt.

Mint
One public schedule. Household, firm, and treasury buy the same window or they do not mint.
Fiat
The base can be stretched off schedule when an office says the payments system requires it.

Issue
Named credit. It is not cash at the register, and it does not increase the unit.
Fiat
Private deposits spend at par.

Tape
If it cannot be shown, it is not policy. Title, mint, lien, conversion, and the agent’s act are the lines.
Fiat
An unpublished act can still be policy. The audit comes later.

Charge
Discount and risk stay two posted numbers, taken when the paper is written.
Fiat
Both are folded into interest, and the tail is socialized.

Agent
A clerk of the posted rules. It pays the floor on the clock and does not mint.
Fiat
An office with discretion, and in a crisis a second mint.

Thin
A wide number is the honest price when the book is quiet.
Fiat
An official rate can ignore an empty book.

Desert
What remains after the floor and the listed prices, titled even when the figure is zero.
Fiat
Surplus stays private, and the loss is passed on.
